From Italy to the stars, Benedetta is on an extraordinary journey that embodies the very spirit of FIA. A dedicated physics student with a clear goal: to become an astronaut—and her path so far is truly inspiring.
Here’s a glimpse into her stellar journey:
2022 – Attended NASA’s Adult Advanced Space Academy in Huntsville, USA.
2023 – Selected for the Advanced Space Academy under the Scientist-Astronaut Candidate Program.
April 2023 – Handpicked by ESA as a science communicator for the JUICE mission launch at ESA ESOC, Germany.
2024 – Became a NASA Citizen Scientist in asteroid search missions.
2024 – Selected as an Analog Astronaut for the Luna I mission with the Analog Astronaut Training Center.
Benedetta is not only a passionate space enthusiast, but also a blogger for ASTEC and Space Voyaging, and a student at the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences (IIAS) and Project PoSSUM.
She continues to inspire through her work in science communication, bringing space science closer to the public through social media, blogging, and outreach.
