Meet Alyssa Carson, a trailblazer in the global space community. From a very young age, Alyssa has dreamt of becoming an astronaut and journeying to Mars. Over the years, she has turned that dream into a mission—dedicating her life to space training, outreach, and inspiring youth around the world.
✨ Her Journey So Far
The youngest person ever to complete the NASA Passport Program, visiting all 14 NASA centers.
Trained in multiple space analog programs, including Project PoSSUM, becoming the youngest to graduate at just 16.
Studied astrobiology, deepening her knowledge of life sciences and the possibilities of life beyond Earth.
An active STEM advocate, giving talks and interviews worldwide to inspire young minds to pursue careers in science and space.
2023: Earned a Bachelor of Science in Astrobiology from the Florida Institute of Technology, and received the Student Catalyst Award for advancing women in STEM.
Currently pursuing a PhD in Space and Planetary Sciences at the University of Arkansas, where she also teaches an undergraduate microbiology lab.
Selected as one of only five global NATO influencers/ambassadors in 2022 and became the youngest full member accepted into The Explorers Club.
Continues her role as a prominent STEM educator and public speaker, actively engaging audiences through social media, conferences, and educational outreach to inspire the next generation of space enthusiasts.
